This is beautiful, Charlie, and I'm sure Kathleen will be very touched. Her work is truly inspiring. =)

Thanks Myla! :) This is #4 of the Inspired By series...thanks, Kathleen of A Walk Through Durham Township for her kind words and the following sage advice... "Sometimes beauty is best revealed in the early hours of the day, so try taking a walk around sunrise and see what happens!" ...and even though I'm a chronic night owl, I did. I live in the city, not the country, but this shot was still found right outside my front door. ;) Thanks Kathleen.

This is so beautiful and even looking at it I could've guessed that you were inspired by her. :)

Almost looks a little haunting - fog in the distance. "The road into oblivion".

I like the perspective of the walkway and the mood created by the morning mist.

....and the fog licked me with its many cold tongues. the heaviness was all around me like a thick white animal. i walked on.

Another great shot, Charlie. You've really been inspired :). I'm still trying to figure out if the Ford truck adds to it or not...you know, in "making it look like a neighborhood" sort of way. Either way, it would still hold up as a great composition. The small splash of red from the hydrant really brings it along in a way that doesn't draw your eye away.

Charlie! Great job! I love it -- beautiful composition and color. Can't wait to see what your next early morning brings. :-) (Think: Coffee is Good.)

~well done, nice representation, for me at least, of small town sidewalk USA and the moments most take for granted~

wow ... incredible Charlie :) breathlessly beautiful!

.. okay okay, between Kathleen's beautiful mornings and now yours, I may have to try this early to rise, go outside and witness the misty light thang but its going to for sure take a whole lot of fresh ground coffee bean!

this is a really great one, charlie!

I really like this picture! The canvas of trees and the misty fogginess make it feel somewhat mysterious, even though it's quite obviously your neighborhood. I get to witness many beautiful scenes like this on my way to work each morning, as I work at Starbucks and have a twenty minute drive to arrive at 5am. Unfortunately, it's too dark to stop and snap any pictures, so maybe on my next day off I'll go out rather than sleeping in - you've inspired me!
