You've really got the shallow DOF technique pegged. I really like this sort of image.

I like this. Great photo ... painful looking plant!

It has a science fiction feel. Quite disquieting but also beautiful.

Fiber Optic? LOL! Great photo, I love the depth of field.

Charlie, great series with your macro. Picture reminds me of a future grid.

Man, those spines really do look like they're lit from within.
These cactus macros have been great, and seeing cactus imagery makes me forget that it's now 40 degrees outside when I get up in the morning.

Do I need some band aids?

Nice use of repetition. Solid use of lines throughout. Cool shot.

Nice shot! It really does look a bit like fiber optics, a bit translucent. Nice job.

Nice one. I like the repeating patterns.

OK, You've got to stop with the macros. They're giving me the I-wants and I can't afford a new camera and lens like yours!

mother nature's natural fireworks! :)

Very nicely done. What makes this shot for me (though this has already been mentioned by Zee) is the way the spines appear to be lit from within.

very clever, indeed -- initially I thot it was a pineapple =)

[she scrolls back up to look again]
Oh dang! Is it a pineapple?
Nice photo. Beautiful lighting.

If crystalline structures migrated
entered the vegetable kingdom,
this is what it may become.
Something green.
Something puzzling.
Definately 'Curious'.
