For the Extra Challenge I started right outside my house and walked 2 blocks south, then I turned and walked another 4 blocks. I was completely bummed to find nothing of interest, until the light suddenly changed and a previously unnoticed retaining wall caught my attention. :)

You've made what I usually think of as a "Wal-Mart retaining wall" look like a recently-excavated Mayan temple. Nice shot!

great composition! your use of light made me think if I could touch the ray of light it would be a refuge of warmth along this cold, cold wall. thanks for a wonderful photo

Very cool. The light and shallow DoF are extremely effective. I can't help wishing that the small weed/plant had been in focus too though. It doesn't detract from the image as it is, but it would, for me at least, have been the icing on the cake :-)
