Wonderful, unusual colours on this - it's very striking. The depth of field is excellent too - it creates a beautiful backdrop for the main image.

Amazing! I love the composition and the color combination.

Can I have a wallpaper version of this photograph please? (my screen resolution is 1280x1024)

I like the ultra-narrow depth of field. Even the tips of the silver petals in the foreground are blurred. I think that's an interesting detraction from many other macro flower shots.

striking is the perfect word. i love those true colors. wonderful shot dear.

very nice. I love macro pictures and this one is really detailed! Alas, they're too difficult when a singing insect (i.e. a bee) is involved... :-((

I'm really glad everyone liked this one... I'm really not a fan of shooting in the winter, as I'm normally attracted to lots of color. Guess it's good practice to work with the limited tones of cold weather, though. :)

this is phenomenal!! the colors are subdue but they still jump out and grasp you. the depth achieved from the focus is excellent, just enough to see the pattern but not to busy to distract or take away from the crisp detail in the foreground, in fact it enhances it. so moving.
